EASY RIDERS

Like all real Southern Californians:

We drink...
lots of bottled water
(room temperature is fine)
We whine about weather conditions...
on stage
(wind instruments do not like
cold temperatures or drafts)
We don’t eat...
a full meal before a concert
(of course, afterward is another story &
green room munchies are always welcome)
We bring our own...
music stands
We chat it up...

with the audience
(a speaking mic is helpful)

WE DO HAVE A FEW ISSUES

We like to have complete concert information on our website.

Can you provide us with venue
address, ticket info, etc. ASAP?

We have stuff to sell.

Can you provide someone to man
(or woman) the table?

Can you provide petty cash for this endeavor?

Calico Winds members will be available to
autograph CDs (and stuff) after the concert.

We like to record our concerts with our very own mini disc.

Do you have a house system we can plug into?

If not can you provide someone to hold
the machine and press the button?

EXTRA CREDIT PROJECTS

Calico Winds happily makes itself available for:

  • Interviews with local media either
    by phone or in studio
  • A moderated pre-concert question/ answer session with the audience
  • A after-concert reception or no-host gathering at local restaurant/bar

If you are interested in collaborating with Calico Winds to grow our mailing lists we have some ideas. Can we talk?

Engaging Education

Calico Winds artfully introduces classical music by bringing to the assembly format a true concert experience along with an enlightening music lesson. A take-home companion booklet with fun projects and puzzles is available (additional fee).

Calico Winds can enliven an existing music program in your area with special programs, masterclasses, coachings and private lessons.

Outside the Box

Consider having Calico Winds as guest lecturers in both music and humanities classes to discuss careers in music and issues of arts and culture.

Calico in the Community

A one hour daytime concert at a local venue such as a hospital, convalescent home or club meeting.
